Objectives

The objective of our society, initially as a German-French, later as a European Society of German-French Language for Gynecology and Obstetrics, has always been to enable an approximation of the professional societies for gynecology and obstetrics in the individual countries, in order to achieve a cohesion that is profitable for all participants on a professional and, in particular, on a personal level. At numerous national and international congresses, some of which were led by our society, members from the professional societies were able to present their data, which were repeatedly published in international, listed “journals”. This development is to be continued, in particular the younger colleagues are given the opportunity to present their data at the scientific sessions and to represent them in the discussions with the auditorium. It is a major concern of our society to promote and strengthen young talent. In this way, intensive seminars are planned in changing European cities, in which, after keynote lectures given by experts, the young scientists are to enter into scientific discourse. At the same time, there will be enough time to get closer to the special features of the respective, attractive cities, which Europe truly has in abundance (the details about these seminars will be listed under  News listed).

The previous experiences have shown that the projects of our society can be very enriching for all participants, both under professional but also cultural and personal aspects. We would therefore be extremely grateful for the support of the European Society of German French Language for Gynecology and Obstetrics.
